How It Works

A standardized clinical protocol.
Not a generic treatment plan.

Every RxDecompress session follows the same three-step protocol, directed by a licensed medical doctor. The same standard at every location. The same rigor on every visit.

The Protocol

Three steps. Every session. No exceptions.

Physician-Directed Protocol

Before treatment begins, your physician conducts a full clinical assessment by reviewing your imaging, evaluating your presentation, and designing your treatment protocol with specific parameters for traction force, angle, and duration. The plan is the physician's. Each visit is delivered against that plan.

Monitored Decompression Treatment

You are positioned on our decompression table and fitted with a harness calibrated to your protocol. The machine applies controlled traction, alternating tension and relaxation, to create negative intradiscal pressure. Sessions run 20 to 45 minutes. Clinical staff are present throughout.

Post-Session Review & Progress Tracking

After each session, your physician reviews how you responded to treatment. Objective measures are recorded and tracked across your protocol. If adjustment is needed, your protocol is modified. This is how we know when treatment is complete.

The Technology

Precision engineering under physician control.

The technology delivers the traction. The physician calibrates the protocol parameters and adjusts them based on your clinical response. Clinical staff deliver each session under those physician-directed parameters.

Calibrated Traction Force

Tension is set to your body weight, spinal condition, and treatment stage, calibrated by your physician, not by a technician following a default protocol.

Negative Intradiscal Pressure

The alternating tension-relaxation cycle creates negative pressure within the disc space, the mechanism that draws herniated material back toward center and promotes nutrient flow.

Angle & Positioning Specificity

Lumbar and cervical protocols require different angles of pull targeting specific spinal segments. Your physician sets and adjusts these parameters based on your imaging and clinical response across your care.

Your First Visit

What to expect when you walk in.

Your first visit is a clinical evaluation, not a sales consultation. Your physician will review your history, examine your condition, and evaluate your imaging. At the end of that evaluation, you will receive a direct assessment: whether you are a candidate for decompression, what protocol is appropriate, and what a realistic outcome looks like.

If decompression is not the right treatment for your case, we will tell you and point you toward what is. We do not run consultations designed to convert. We run evaluations designed to inform.

Bring your imaging

MRI, X-ray, or CT scan. If you do not have recent imaging, your physician will advise whether it is needed before beginning a protocol.

Plan for 60–90 minutes

The initial evaluation takes longer than a standard session. Subsequent visits run 30–60 minutes depending on your protocol.

No referral required

You can schedule directly. No primary care physician referral is needed to be evaluated or treated at RxDecompress.
